KHR 317L is a homozygous black, homozygous polled open heifer sired by our calving ease carcass sire, 38F. Her dam is a 13 year old Dam of Distinction with 13 calves for a 102 WW and 103 YW. There is maternal cow power in her pedigree as there are three Dams of Distinction and one Dam of Merit in her pedigree. She goes back to the first black cattle that we introduced into our herd from the Beartooth dispersion. This is the exact kind of female we have built our program around.
KHR 216K is a homozygous polled, homozygous black bred heifer sired by Seminole Wind. Her dam is a Dam of Merit with 5 calves with 105 WW and 106 YW. She has impressive EPDs for growth, total maternal and stayability, FPI and EPI. She is moderate in frame, easy fleshing and deep bodied with extra volume. AI bred to our 38F bull on May 26th, she is safe to a calving date of March 7, 2023.
KHR 267K KHR 267 is a homozygous polled, homozygous black heifer from our highly maternal 77H bull and a cow we purchased from Grand Valley Gelbvieh. She has EPDs that work for us: Total Maternal, Stayability, and Calving Ease along with respectable Weaning. Moderate framed, she is deep bodied, sound and free moving.Bred to our 38F bull, her calf should have added carcass traits. She was tested safe in calf to her AI date of May 20th for an expected calving date of March 1, 2024.
